Bioiberica first Spanish chemical-pharmaceutical company to receive SA 8000 international certification for corporate social responsibility

The company was awarded the certification in recognition of its work, support for specific values, action over time, and commitment to the environment, society and the people who make up the organization.
Bioiberica S.A., a company specializing in research, manufacture and marketing biomolecules for the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, veterinary and agriculture industries, as well as a leader in chondroprotection, has earned international certification for Corporate Social Responsibility SA 8000. This universal standard is issued by the Council on Economic Priorities (CEP), whose aim is to ensure the ethical production of goods and services. To this end, it establishes a series of basic guidelines on human rights practices and working conditions along the entire value chain.
With this certification, Bioiberica once again validates its corporate values, which are based on compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, the concern for people’s health and safety, risk prevention and corporate social responsibility.
According to the latest official list issued by Social Accountability International (SAI), the international organization that manages the SA 8000 standard, Bioiberica is the first chemical-pharmaceutical company in Spain to obtain SA 8000 certification.
