Bioiberica participates in the New Ag International Fair 2008 in New Delhi, India
The Sixth International Conference on Plant Nutrition, organized by the journal New Ag International, was held last April in New Delhi (India).
For Bioiberica, which was present in the congress with a stand, it was a good opportunity to get to know the Indian market first hand, a market valued as having great potential and rapid technological development. Although the country has a gigantic size and population, it was possible to identify the regions of most agricultural interest.
Bioiberica currently has a low penetration in this market, but thanks to the modernization of its agriculture and special care in plant nutrition and qualitative parameters, there are good prospects for expansion in the country.
As regards agricultural products for consumption, it was observed that the purchasing power in the domestic market is relatively weak and that there is a large number of independent farms which supply the agricultural market. They are small companies which do not differentiate their products, create brand value or work with economies of scale.
Even so, it is calculated that there will be an influx of investments from foreign companies in the coming years as supermarket chains are already expanding in several regions of India.
