David Beitia Named Bioiberica Sales Manager in Valencia
In just a short time he has been able to consolidate Bioiberica sales in the Autonomous Community of Valencia, which is a complicated area with a long agricultural tradition, and to establish new points of sale in Northern Spain.
David has experience in the agricultural sector as a technician for the Júcar Hydrographic Confederation, where he was in direct contact with farmers in the field, which gave him the opportunity to learn about their problems and concerns.
David Beitia commented on his view of the agricultural market where he operates: “The situation in the area where I work is very delicate due to the low prices producers get for their goods, the high cost of raw materials and competition from other countries”.
“The current economic recession has only aggravated the situation. But in contexts like this one, product promotion and increasing added value are solutions that are being implemented in many cases, such as Designations of Origin for olive oil. Despite the recession, it’s curious that organic farming has actually increased in Spain, which has become one of the leading producers of these products in Europe.
“The focus on quality by making products stand out through official Designations of Origin and quality products recognized in different autonomous communities in Spain and abroad is a good approach, because if your product isn’t different, it’s difficult to compete.”
