Latest developments in Plant Stress
The 1ST MEETING OF TEAM (Tephritid Workers of Europe Africa and the Middle East) was held in Mallorca (Spain) last April. This scientific forum is the first of its kind, although it arose from previous congresses organized by the IOBC/WPRS. This organization is one of the six worldwide bodies in charge of biological control. IOBC was established in 1955 to promote safe environmental methods to control plagues and diseases for plant protection
The members of IOBC/WPRS are scientists, universities, officials and professionals from 24 countries from Europe, the Mediterranean basin and the Near East.

The Forum had international repercussions: scientists and professionals attended from Greece, France, Turkey, Spain, Portugal, Pakistan, Israel and Sub-Saharan Africa, among others.
The congress was valued very positively because it promoted dialogue between the personalities involved in the complete control of plagues and disease. Bioiberica contributed its experience in the control of Ceratitis capitata with the following scientific poster presented and explained orally by our R&D team with the important collaboration of the general directorate of agricultural production and stockbreeding of the ministry of the Autonomous Government of Andalusia and the technical team from the RioTinto Fruit.
