New Factory for Plant Physiology

The industrial complex in Palafolls (Barcelona Province) now has a new 2,576.8-sqm manufacturing and packaging plant with cutting edge equipment to offer products with quality standards in keeping with the best chemical companies in the industry.

The new facilities have a packaging plant with four lines and a formulation area that will increase production capacity. This new formulation plant is expected to start operating in the near future.

The plant will also be equipped with two robots for product boxing and palletizing. This will reduce manual labour and keep personnel from handling loads. The most important new feature in the formulation area will be the system for automatic additivation of solids, which will also minimize load handling.

The new facilities were designed in keeping with company policy: “We undertake to continuously improve our staff’s working conditions by minimizing health risks, ensuring personal safety on the job, and adopting measures to prevent incidents and accidents”.

The Bioiberica industrial complex, which produces active ingredients for other business areas, will also modernize its facilities with a new control centre and the remodelling of the old farmhouse, which will serve as the social building. Besides the new Plant Physiology industrial plant, which will occupy an important position, a new warehouse has been built. It will be the logistics base for improving the preparation time of pallets for shipping to other parts of Spain and abroad.
