More than 300 companies, along with organizations from 50 different countries, have pledged to attend the conference; currently held in Berlin, Germany
Irrigation control, specialized plant nutrition, biostimulation, and sensors and technology applied to crop management are among the highlights of the show.
This afternoon at 5 pm, Bioiberica Plant Physiology will present Crop-Scan®, our flagship project in teledetection and precision agriculture, at the 15th New Ag International Conference; currently being held in Berlin until the 18th of March.
Mauro José Bernal, Bioiberica’s area manager, will present this innovative technology that helps farmers diagnose stress in their crops, tree by tree. Using thermal and hyperspectral cameras mounted on manned aircraft, Crop-Scan® scans and photographs all hectares in a plot, analyzing crop temperature and hydration (CWSI index), chlorophyll content (which can be correlated with nutritional deficiencies, as well as nitrogen, iron or foliar zinc content via TCARI, MCARI and OSAVI indexes); vegetation productivity, yield, quality and development (NDI and LAI indexes); an index related to photosynthesis (correlated to fruit quality parameters such as sugar contents and acidity); and the PRI index.
As in previous years, Bioiberica is one of the congress’ main sponsors, having also a booth (booth 53-54) at the exhibitors’ area. More than 300 firms and organizations from more than 50 countries have pledged to attend this meeting in high-tech agriculture, which offers a wide program of lectures and conferences from first rate researchers and lecturers. Some of the highlighted themes are irrigation management (micro- and aspersion irrigation), specialized plant nutrition (fertirrigation, foliar sprays, micronutrients), biostimulants, greenhouse cultivation, and precision agriculture (sensors and other technology applied to crop management).
