Bioiberica Plant Physiology was present at the largest worldwide meeting of the biocontrol industry
The 9th Annual Biocontrol Industry Meeting (ABIM), which took place in Basel, Switzerland from 20 to 22 October, was born out of the co-operation between the Research Institute of Organic Agriculture (FiBL) and the International Biocontrol Manufacturers Association (IBMA), of which Bioiberica is an active member.
Plant protection by means of natural and biological systems allows for a sustainable production of healthy food while avoiding chemical pesticides. During this meeting the latest trends in biological products for crop protection were presented.
At the expositors area, Bioiberica presented Cera Trap, a product of choice for the biocontrol of the fruit fly (Ceratitis Capitata) for use in several different geographic areas of the world because of its high efficiency, sustainability and eco-friendly characteristics.
Those attending the meeting also had the opportunity to see firsthand Suzukii Trap, the first attractant specifically designed for the capture of Drosophila suzukii. This new product is raising great interest in several regions affected by this pest-field trials are currently being carried out to establish the best bio pest control strategy for this product.
The entire range of products of the Plant Physiology Division is of great use for the agricultural sector, for they provide sustainable solutions that improve the strategies of overall crop management, reinforcing the efficacy of phytosanitary treatment and bio stimulating plants in a natural way.
