During the 9th ISFFEI, held at Thailand’s capital on May 11-17, 2015, Bioiberica’s Plant Physiology Division presented the results of a new Cera Trap® trial.
This event is held every four years and provides the latest scientific updates in the field of control and management of several types of fruit fly pests. Scientists and experts from all over the world attended the symposium to exchange their experiences and knowledge.
In Thailand and all Southeastern Asia, this problem is especially severe due to the large variety of tropical fruit crops affected by the Bactrocera dorsalis fly. Bioberica presented a poster showing the positive results of a Cera Trap® trial to capture females belonging to this species, as well as an experiment showing the response of the antennae of Ceratitis females to the highly attractive product (electroantennogram).
Bioiberica’s Plant Physiology Division had their own booth that presented their biological attractants, including our Cera Trap® biological solution for the control of the fruit fly pest. Bioberica’s local representative was also present in our booth.
