Spotted wing drosophila, Drosophila suzukii (Matsumura, 1931) (Diptera Drosophilidae), is a highly polyphagous invasive pest, endemic to South East Asia, which has recently been detected in western countries such as USA, Canada, Mexico and Mediterranean countries. With the aim of providing an efficient system for selective detection, the R&D Department of Bioiberica has worked on the development of a new biological attractant (Suzukii Trap®) to put inside suitable traps, with a high level of attraction for this new fly, persistent and stable throughout the season and which greatly facilitates the monitoring and management of the population.
