Bioiberica - Plant Health team, headed by its Commercial Director and Export Manager, has been this week in Peru knowing first-hand the concerns of Mango and Grape de Mesa farmers in the country regarding the fight against pests of Fruit flies.

 

Farmers have been accompanied to the fields to verify on-site the good results of CeraTrap®, the specific bait for the attraction and capture of fruit flies.

Cera Trap^® is a liquid food attractant for the control of the fruit fly, 100% eco-friendly, highly efficient and selective. It consists of a liquid protein that is produced through enzyme hydrolysis, and it is highly attractive to adult fruit flies, in particular for female individuals. Its formulation is pesticide-free and can be used alone, without having to combine it with standard pesticides. The bait is put inside traps, which contain enough food attractant for the entire harvesting season. The ready-to-use traps can be hanged from the fruit trees-fruit flies enter the trap and eventually drown in the liquid attractant.

 

2019 was a very good year for the flagship product of the range of Attractants of Bioibérica - Plant Health as it obtained authorization in Greece and Mexico, and in Spain its use was extended to Table Grape, Fig Tree and Pomegranade.
