The Department of Vegetal Physiology of the School of Agricultural and Forestry Engineering of Lleida did an experiment demonstrating the efficiency of TERRA-SORB FOLIAR to improve fruit setting of the orange of the “Navelate” variety

The main problem with this variant is that its great floration and fecundation results in a major issue of competition for nutrients with the recently set fruits; which requires an important pruning of the trees, thus drastically reducing the final number of fruits produced by each tree.

TERRA-SORB FOLIAR was applied at doses of 300 cc per 100 l. of water during two moments of the cultivation cycle: one with 95% of petals fallen, and the other 10 days later.

An increase of 14% in initial fruit setting over check samples was observed in trees under treatment. This fact, in turn, made more viable development of fruit, which was augmented by 34%. Also, the nutritive level of sampled leaves from trees receiving TERRA-SORB FOLIAR was increased, specifically in micro elements, when compared to the check sample.
