Plant Growth Regulating Activity of Terra-Sorb Foliar and its Impact on Heat Tolerance of Perennial Ryegrass (Lolium Perenne L.). Biostimulants are materials that promote plant growth when applied in minute quantities. Problem; after 22 years of irrgating with effluent water, the fairways at White Pines GC began to die from a tremendous buildup of sodium in the soil, which had a high pH. Solution; the use of amino acid products provides the turf with more energy to pull nutrients and water from the soil more effectively.

Adding amino acids may allow plants to adapt to saline conditions. A protein enzyme hydrolysate was applied to young Reviga cultivar melon plants in saline conditions. This produced an increase in plant height, leaf area, etc., depending on the levels of salinity used and the quantity of amino acids applied.
