The Mexican Lemon (Citrus aurantifolia) is grown in Mexico primarily in six states and covers an area of 153,442.62 hectares. Like other citrus also affected by the disease known as HLB (Huanglongbing), it is caused by the bacterium Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus, being this the most important disease worldwide because it causes a significant decrease in the production of most citrus including lemon Mexican where severe damages were observed. The use of minerals have been used to increase the performance and the tolerance to pathogens. The present study was conducted to determine the influence of silicon in two doses (low = high = 5 mL and 10 mL / L of water) mixed with conventional fertilizers on the incidence and severity of HLB in Mexican lime.
