Why Terra-Sorb®? Some facts about L-α-amino acids obtention and properties

Wednesday, 09 July 2014
Field Experience | Terra-Sorb®
Amino acids are natural molecules that fulfil the role of protein precursors. However, whether individually or as part of the proteins, they perform various physiological functions in plant metabolism: they stimulate root development, the opening of stomata and cell membrane permeability; they are also precursors of hormones, nucleic acids and other important organic compounds such as chlorophyll and polyphenols. In addition, amino acids play a significant role in osmoregulation and some of them are capable of forming complexes with nutrients.

Optimization of olive crop yield by means of CROP-SCAN®

Thursday, 22 May 2014
Field Experience | Olive Tree | Crop-Scan®

The CROP-SCAN® service provides quick, precise data on hydric stress, strength, chlorophyll content and efficiency in photosynthetic activity for all trees in a plot, thus allowing for the early detection of differences in yield that cannot be detected by the naked eye. This allows farmers to implement the necessary measures to optimize the plot’s yield.

Effect of the application of Terra-Sorb® (Bioiberica) on fruit retention, development and quality in mango

Monday, 25 October 2010
Field Experience

In Certain species and varieties, as is the case of mango, the grade of fruit setting is an important factor affecting final crop production.

This parameter, basically regulated by the plant’s own genetics, can be negatively affected by external conditions and the nutritional state of the plan.

Amino acids play an important role in plant physiology, regulating several processes. Besides, they are essential in the pollen and the style for a correct pollination and fecundation.

Likewise, the application Terra-Sorb® increases nutrient absorption and translocation, contributing to the nutritional balance of the plant.

Another remarkable fact is that a positive effect from Terra-Sorb® has been observed on fuit development. A higer fruit retention can negatively affect their later development. A higer fruit retention can negatively affect their later development. However, the product has evidenced in numerous trails that a higher fruit retention does not have a repercussions on fruit size.

Evaluation of the effect of Incium® applications in lettuce transplantation in Chile

Monday, 25 October 2010
Field Experience | Horticultural | Inicium®
Inicium® is a low molecular weight peptide-based product with radicular activity that is especially beneficial at the onset of radicular activity and during transplantation. The most visible effects of Incium® are the development of a strong radicular system, which helps lettuce reach a sellable size faster.

The following is a trial on lettuce carried out the year (2004) in Chile, where these effects are confirmed.
